May I put in a plug for a Rasberry PI? Mine has run perfectly for two
years, and consummes about 5 watts. External drive and power protector
would add a bit, but... I ran a 3 tb disk for a year, but finally had to
admit that I really did not have much use for that much spinning
storage. I relagated the disk to external USB when I need it, and have
been very happy with a 64G memory stick.
Household network, mainly backing files and shareing them between machines
