 I am preparing to do a minimal install on one of the asus' here.
 I intend to use wicd for a network manager - to avoid a bunch of
 dependencies, which in my mind defeats the purpose.

 Can anyone recommend a power manager/batter indicator that does not
 have a lot of dependencies?
