[aklug] OT: chess in Fairbanks?

Any Fairbanksians on the list: I recently moved into an apartment in
town, and so I've got more flexibility than I used to have about where I
can be and when. (Used to live 20 miles out of town.) I'm looking to
play chess. I'm not a great player, but I do play a little on FICS, and
I'm getting kind of tired of not having a real board and player in front
of me. So I'm wondering what my options are for playing in Fairbanks.

I think there used to be a club at UAF, so I'm going to look into that.
Does Fairbanks have a public park or something where people often come
to play? Anybody on the list want to make personal arrangements to play
a few games?
