When my parents moved here the 1st time, it was because my Dad was
transferred here. Parents hated it. Didn't stay long, about a year.

1 1/2 years later, my 3rd sibling (4th kid) was born. My parents finally
figured out they were raising a family and thought Alaska looked like a
better place to do this.

How does that old Johnny Horton song go? "When it's Springtime in Alaska
and it's 40 below...".
