Brief Description

 

This position interacts closely with internal customers and is an integral
part of the Helpdesk team. This team provides a high level of customer
service in responding to requests for support services from customers
throughout the ASRC enterprise. This position reports to the IT Customer
Services Support Manager.

                                

Detailed Description

 

1. Includes all of the duties associated with Helpdesk Technician I (as
follows).

2. Works with customers over the phone to isolate the root cause of IT
related problems through advanced interactive troubleshooting.

3. Responds to technical service requests from internal customers via phone,
fax, E-mail or in person.

4. Logs and manages cases in the Altiris Work Request System and acts as
coordinator of cases between technicians and customer.

5. Manages case load and communicates with other members within IT in order
maximize response and reduce down time.

6. Other duties specific to Helpdesk Technician II.

7. Works with little or no supervisory interaction.

8. Coordinates management of cases with other HD Technicians.

9. Performs depot repair and upgrades on PC's and laptops as time permits.

10. Other duties as assigned.

                                

Job Requirements

2 - 3 years experience or equivalent in Computer Helpdesk environment plus
all experience requirements for Computer Helpdesk Technician I. May act as

Depot Technician as workload permits.
