[aklug] File System for 1.5 Tb

I recently scored a 1.5TB Ext. USB2 drive on closeout at wally-world for 60$
(They have brought in all USB3 now and it was the last one (at least here in The V)

Other than letting aklug folks know in case any are left elsewhere, I have a more Linux-Centric question.

Okay the default filesystem is NTFS at 1.3 TB
This device will be used for for Video, Music, Document archiving as well as output for raw sound and video production,
via video encoding and music production both MIDI and straight from the source.
I realize USB2 is a little slow for some things but I'M not in a great hurry.

I have of late used mostly ext4 and xfs FS for most things
(especially since the reiser Guy got locked up for murder, though he claims the KGB did it !?)

At one time several years ago while doing raw encoding I ran up against the 2gb roadblock (ext2 fs)
but have not had that problem lately. I am hesitant with btfs but would like any feedback. JFS anyone?
Does it all really not matter so much anymore with modest home/office usage?

Storage versus production usage experience or expertise would be appreciated.
Speed differences and recovery would of course be a factor as well...
I have in fact had very little problems with either xfs (not for /boot)
or ext4 but am willing to try other options. I understand btfs is a not on /boot fs at the present.

Thanks for any input.
