soundmodem was an amazing APRS helper. If anybody wants to play with it.. install
soundmodem and use the non-amplified line-out on your sound card to a standard line level
line in on another machine as well as the other way around. Soon you'll be passing packet
data over sound cards.. it's horribly slow... works surprisingly well however. There is a
fax standard as well, but fax needs to diaf.
