Not exactly, but I have rescued bad partition tables with testdisk before. =
 It is pretty cool, although it can't save a truly munged partition (i.e. a=
 partition table that was erased and then partially written over).

Testdisk is on my favorite 32 bit boot CD -- Trinity Rescue Kit.
