Yeah. We are still reluctant to recommend linux as an office
platform, although we have had contacts from organizations who
wish to set up a subdivision of the business with linux boxes and
servers as a test case.
However, on the desktop side, my wife, my sister-in-law and two of
my sons (none of which are geeks) have come to prefer ubuntu over
windows.
And at Procomm Alaska, whenever someone can't open a docx
formatted document, they redirect it to a linux box with OO,
open the doc, save it in an earlier Word format and they are good
to go...
