Job Description:

Maintains smooth operation of voice and data networks. Plans, evaluates,
coordinates and performs installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware
and software elements of data and/or voice communication network.
Maintains technical expertise in all areas of voice and data networks
hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers,
multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. May propose
solutions to management to ensure all

communications requirements based on future needs and current usage,
configuring such solutions to optimize cost

savings. Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation
exists, including operational instructions. Provides

regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range
planning for in-house systems. May coordinate

third-party maintenance for network equipment. May design network or
portion of network that include selection of

hardware and software packages. Responsible for the operation and
maintenance of the HITS which is composed of the following:
Transportable Relay Radio Assemblies, Data Communications Network
Controller (DCNC) antennas and Mast Assemblies, satellite communications
arrays, digital communications equipment trailers (DCET), Alaska Mobile
Units (AMUs), the AMU DCNC, interface server (IS), and Data Server (DS),
the Trilogy and Stancil Audio System, all Mosaic System Networks.
Coordinate the Operation and maintenance support is also required for
the Multiple engagement Integrated Laser Equipment System (MILES) 2000
and the Homestation Instrumentation Training System (HITS) devices.

Required Skills:

     *

       · Must be able to manage a network centric communication system
consisting of: microwave, satellite, fiber optic, FM, and satellite
based transmission capabilities.

· Primary advisor to the HITS program manager on all technical issues.

           o Assist the HITS Military Analyst in exercise, operation and
support.
             · Report and monitor the HITS system(s) status using the
Maintenance Management Record System.

· Prepare equipment for deployment; deploy the equipment, and receive
the equipment in support of world-wide training exercises.

· Must be Proficient in Microsoft Office, Oracle database, and Army IA
procedures and requirements.

· Maintain technical publications for military systems, MILES systems
and HITS systems.

· Operation and maintenance of WTS 3/4 ton pickup trucks and Bigtex 50LA
9,500 pound tandem axle trailers.

· Requires a CDL license and health cert.

· Must have six years experience to include five years in the field of
Information Assurance Security (IAS) and three years working with
ATREP/HITS.

           o Possess a sense of how soldiers train and operate on a
range complex.
           o Capable of oversight and decision making as they relate to
personnel issues; cross-level operational resources and personnel to
meet rapidly emerging requirements.
           o Ability to defuse personnel conflicts in a “win-win” manner.
           o Must have demonstrated the ability to coordinate with
senior military officials as well as numerous other civilian contractors.
           o Have the ability to self initiate and work well in a group
environment.
           o Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs and wear
appropriate personal protective equipment as appropriate. Ability to
perform duties in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind) and at
height (towers and phone poles). Willing to work any shift, weekends,
holidays, and overtime. Must be willing to perform duties at other
Warrior Training Alliance locations world-wide as required. Will be
required to work in compliance with OSHA and Raytheon safety policies
and procedures as appropriate. Perform other tasks assigned by the
Raytheon Management Team in a manner that enhances customer
satisfaction. Ability to manage a dynamic team during periods of
fast-paced mission changes and extended hours. Must be able to obtain a
valid state driver’s license and maintain post-driving privileges. Must
be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. SECRET Security Clearance.

Desired Skills:

Cubic trained on the set-up, installation and operation of the
ATREP/HITS System
Two years Cisco Switch/Router experience
Two years Firewall configuration experience
Two year Linux/Unix System Administrator experience

Required Education (including Major):

B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related field.
Appropriate experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
