Does anyone (Shane?) have some good resources for comparing I/O
performance of the various virtualization technologies? You always
hear "don't but a DB on a VM," but you never see it backed up by hard
numbers across a variety of VM technologies. It would be interesting
to compare I/O throughput across VMWare, UML, VServer, OpenVZ and
others.
