In this case using the command: pppd call gsm885
works how I'd expect it to...so I was trying to use the GUI to =20
accomplish the same thing.
Now I'm busy....wait for it Art....hacking gconf to find how the =20
settings are set and what causes the software to do what it does.
At the point I figure that out...I'll have the GUI doing 'pppd call =20
gsm885' and my USB dongle will 'Just Work'.
BTW, it already just works in Karmic...but I haven't updated yet.
