I did some quick searching on SSL & TLS. I can't find an RFC for SSL. I did find drafts for SSL but no actual RFC. Here's what I know so far.
1. Netscape develops SSL but its broken
2. Netscape's SSL is fixed but (1996 or so I think)
3. TLS was introduced back in 1999 or so.
4. TLS RFC http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3207
This means there was never an officel SSL standard. We all call it SSL but its really TLS. Do I have this right? Pleas correct me if this is wrong.
