Gimp is pretty cool these days - it is amazing what some people can do
with it.

I do try to stress though that, to get a good impression of GIMP, people
should be using at least the latest stable, 2.6. Some distros are still
running 2.4, and for some weird reason all the machines where I work are
still running 2.2.
