Actually, I think that it is a two year "freeze" cycle. They don't
actually release Squeeze in December, only freeze it. Technically they
still can release Squeeze whenever they feel like it.

The result is much the same, of course. I think most of us upgrade the
moment it freezes anyway.

Or have I misread the Debian announcements?
