I vaguely remember last year talking to somebody on the list about robot
kits. It's budget proposal time here at UAF ARSC, and I need to write a
proposal that should be able to get me $1000 to $2000 for my remote
robotics project.

We are pretty sick of the cheap robots we've been using, and wanted to
invest in a different kit. I think everybody else in the project wants
to use Lego NXT, but I'm still open-minded.

Things that I like:
 - Ideally could do all development under Linux
 - Multi-tasking processor (a MUST)
 - Lots of cool accessories, including means of communicating with it
   over bluetooth

Just wondered if anyone had any input.
