[aklug] Sqlite

Has anyone noticed that Firefox 3.5.2 is creating a database using Sqlite (sequel light) that contains all your browsing data, passwords, even if you tell it not to save them, and a set of tracking cookies that it stores in a directory called /mozilla/firefox/md7ma3db.default/

Interesting to note also that when I go through options to delete all personal data and cookies these cookies are NOT deleted, then if you manually close all Firefox processes and delete the cookies (they are otherwise locked), upon starting Firefox it created them again, albeit with no data yet in them if you have not browsed anywhere.

I found that Firefox is providing add on that will manage sequel light databases, and with a bit of juryrigging you can get it to look at the information they are gathering

Malware scans do define these cookies as 'tracking cookie low risk'
