Hmm. Too bad HP doesn't have something similar. I've got a d4100e that I =
want to update the bios on.

I can extract the .rom file with Wine, but flashrom dies on the machine bec=
ause the bios is set to read-only.

1) Installing Wine just to get the .rom file is a bit much,
2) Their Windows flash utilities know how to unlock the bios to write to it=
, so it is a software lock, not a hardware lock -- I still need Windows. :=

3) They use WinFlash, so I *really* need Windows, not just DOS. :(
