I second Damien. After my initial "dabble" with Alpha 3 my test machine has
been purring nicely with the beta. When I get some time later this week
(which coincides with the thursday release of 9.04) I was going to set up my
laptop with 9.04 as my workhorse. And yes the seat of the pants testing
shows booting and application launch is faster-not as sluggish as some of
the previous releases were getting. :) B
p.s. I also use "preload" a learning daemon that watches what programs you
use the most and it starts to *preload* the app in memory. Handy if you have
memory to spare.
