Damien,
I have been having the same issue. I initially dismissed it as a problem with my home router. Using OpenDNS has resolved my problem, but that doesn't mean GCI's DNS is the issue.
How about others?

Is there something going on with GCI DNS?
All I can say is that the DNS servers I get from DHCP don't seem to work. As soon as I change to Open DNS everything works fine. I'm only asking cause it doesn't seem to work right. Could be something on my end.
