Jaunty seems to be working at the moment. I'm kind of surprised the update-manager isn't telling me there are updates. I used a daily build CD but I got that on Friday. I'll run update-manager my self and see what it says.

Hows the dell mini? I'm going to assume you're running Ubuntu on it.

Glad you overcame your initial mistake of attempting to dist-upgrade a
functional Intrepid install to Jaunty-alpha. I don't believe that
upgrade path is supported, and it definately isn't recommended. At
least not by me. :)

I have a Jaunty-K install on a stick that I've been playing with a
little, but nothing serious. More of my "tech" time lately has been
focussed on getting an XP virtual machine to my satisfaction on my
Dell Mini.

Sidenote: Virtualbox 2.1.4 runs great on the Dell Mini-9, and XP Pro
w/ Office 2007 runs great. I have a 4gb vdi that runs fine in a 512mb
vm and "My Computer" says that the "C:" drive has 1gb free. Thats with
the OS, Office, and 1gb of virtual memory. Of course what runs fine in
512mb runs better in 1536mb.
