It is wrong to assume that plugging into a projector just works. In the past this has never worked well for me. If at all. It looks like things are changing.
As I said before, Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex connected to the projector and worked. No extra configuration on my part.

I had been assuming that plugging into a projector would "just work"
regardless of OS. Am I wrong?
