Lenny is not yet officially released, although it is frozen. No new
major software should get in. (There are some exceptions.)

I have Lenny in use as a desktop at home and at work with the full
multimedia setup. They're fine. I have some test machines and
appliance servers at work running Lenny, primarily to map out any issues
that might come up when I update my production Etch machines. Those
server installs are very stable. Most of the Lenny development stuff
seems to be affecting the desktop side although Samba went through quite
a bit of movement recently. IMHO the LAMP stack isn't moving much so
for a web server Lenny should be fine. You'll be happier with the more
current software anyway.

Here's another little thing that might help out a new Debian user.
Point your Iceweasel/Firefox here:

And install some search engine widgets for the toolbar. I recommend the
Debian Packages Names (All) by Simon Ruggier and the Debian Bugs by
Package by Cesar Izquierdo. I use these searches all the time. Simon's
package search will find a package even if it's only in Sid or
Etch-Backports, etc. If you're having trouble and want to see if there
are bugs for a particular package, I find the bug search widget is easy
to use and faster than the default search page.

Cheers
