[aklug] dynamic dns

I was talking to a friend about some of the cool stuff I thought I could
do if I had a static IP address at home. He mentioned that it would
probably be rather expensive, and that I should consider Dynamic DNS
instead.
I hadn't really heard of dynamic DNS (although I use DNS in my home
LAN), but I looked into it and it seemed like a workable option. My
router software has Dynamic DNS capabilities, and there seemed to be
some sites on the Internet that provided the service for free.

But I thought I'd check with you guys and see if you had any tips,
suggestions, warnings, or such-like that might help me out as I look
into this more.
