Well I'm able to "see" and access the two windows boxes that have locations
of smb:// . However I can't see the newly installed Samba server, nor does
it see any of the ubuntu boxes, but it does recognize the two windows
installations. Obviously I have a ways to go to get Samba server/client
installed and configured correctly. Should I post the contents of my
smb.config file?

I'm not sure that's a safe assumption. I have a pretty straight forward set
up. I go from my DSL modem, to my router to my PC's. I don't know if that
means I have a DHCP server or not.... if I do, I don't know where it is. I
do use my ACS for DNS resolution. All boxes currently have Internet access
through the router/modem and I can print to the network printer. So yes,
the basic infrastructure is in place... I think.

I prefer to use GUI when possible, but the terminal doesn't scare me. I got
my start with computers back when DOS was the only game in town. So I
don't mind getting my hands a little dirty.

Well the first thing is to get the Samba Server set up correctly. What do
you suggest?
