Re: Minimum memory requirements for Ubuntu

Are you talking about a desktop system or server?

A desktop will require more RAM. Servers don't require as much. I've got
an email server with 128 MB RAM and it works just fine. I'm the only
user but even if I had four or five uses I wouldn't bother adding extra
RAM. For the desktop I would go with 256 or even 512. If you have a low
end system you might want to try Xubuntu. It's got a light weight
desktop the doesn't take up as much resources.

Oh, I run Ubuntu Dapper.
