SALARY RANGE: $29.51 - $37.59 per hour PLACE OF WORK: 632 W. 6th Avenue
PAY RANGE: 17 HOURS OF WORK: M-F; 8am-5pm

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION, THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE MUST APPEAR ON
YOUR APPLICATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and six years of experience in
information systems technology, four years of which must have been in the data
networking specialty.

Substitute: Additional experience in information systems technology may substitute for
the educational requirement on a year for year basis.

Prefer applicants with experience with Cisco certifications. Prefer thorough
knowledge of data processing. Prefer excellent oral and written communication skills,
strong project management skills, and exceptional problem solving abilities. Prefer
ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Prefer knowledge of traditional
Telephony communication equipment and technologies. Prefer in-depth knowledge of
VolP, TCP/IP, and general networking.

NATURE OF WORK

Responsible for high level network planning, design, and optimization. Develop
strategies and direction for network systems solutions using current and emerging
technologies (including wireless). Translate business requirements into network or
process designs. Plan and recommend network hardware, systems management software, and
architecture. Approve and modify network design and architecture to ensure
compliance. Configure and maintain routers, switches, and hubs for the network systems
(including wireless). Evaluate and recommend new products, maintain knowledge of
emerging technologies for application to the enterprise. Monitor network performance,
ensure capacity planning is performed, and proactive in assessing and making
recommendations for improvement. Perform troubleshooting procedures and design
resolution scripts. May take on the role of Project Leader for special enterprise-wide
assignments.
