Greetings all, this is way off topic unless you may be experiencing
strange behavior that can be traced to RF in your LAN.

The answer is, "Palomar"! Surf to:

  http://www.palomar-engineers.com

The first item on their list of products is called an "RFI Kit". I am
not recommending anything here. I am just promulgating information that
may be of use to the computing (as well as the Amateur Radio) community.
Actually, almost any household or office has so many RF devices that
almost everybody needs to be aware of RFI - Radio Frequency Interference.

The original question at the Friday Night Laboratory Session (FNLS) had
to do with eliminating RFI to computers as a result of running an
antenna feed line, RG-58 (50 Ohm coaxial cable of about 1/4 inch outside
diameter) close to the computers.

Whilst I am delighted to provide this information, I have my doubts as
to the outcome given the involvement with the RFI nightmare AKA a
personal computer. Yes, some makes are more RFI friendly than others,
but in general, computers are not RFI friendly devices. That is, some
manufacturers do attempt to make their boxes RFI friendly by shielding,
grounding, and filtering techniques. The typical, unshielded, plastic
box is just one indication of the lack of interest and concern that
manufacturers have for RFI. Remember, RFI works both ways - production
and reception.

Computers (including expansion cards, drives, etc) are basically, FCC
Part 15 devices, to wit:

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation
is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may
not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept
any interference received including interference that may cause
  undesired operation.

As far as the antenna feed line, I would also consider something better
than RG-58 in the sense of better shielding. I can't suggest anything at
the moment, perhaps later. This is my summer for antennas - hf, 6 meter,
2 meter and 70 cm.
