In KDE, the default to switch sequentially through the
_virtual_work_spaces_ == desktops (I just made that up, but I think that
is closer to what we are seeing) is <CTL>+<TAB> move to the right
(higher number until it wraps from the highest numbered VWS to the
lowest numberd VWS) and <CTL>+<SHIFT>+<TAB> to go the other way. The
method Greg suggests is not the default on my setup (KDE v5.3.1).

To make changes and find out what the default settings are, bring up the
KDE Control Center, open up the _Regional_&_Accessibility_ item and
select _Keyboard_Shortcuts_.
