RE Cant log in

Robbie,

Boot in rescue mode, mount the disk, and delete the password (second field
between the colons) from /etc/password. Then reboot. Root will now have no
password when you log in. Check the box carefully to make sure that it has
not been root-kitted before you put it into production again
