SUMMARY:
The Systems Administrator, under general supervision and guidance of the Director of Information Systems,
develops and maintains all resort computing systems. The Systems Administrator is responsible for
maintaining the integrity and security of resort servers, workstations and network equipment that supports
over 500 employees. The Systems Administrator is expected to conduct system analysis and development,
with limited support and direction and to keep the systems current with changing technologies. The
Systems Administrator should possess a strong background in server, workstation, and network
administration. The resort’s computing server environment is varied and includes Windows Server
2000/2003, Unix/Linux and iSeries. As new technologies emerge, the Systems Administrator is expected to
learn these technologies quickly and resolve any problems involved in integrating new technologies with our
systems.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Install, configure and maintain computer workstations and servers.
· Install, configure and maintain peripherals and network hardware and software.
· Evaluate network environment needs and plan growth.
· Provide user training in networked environment.
· Document configurations and operating standards and practices.
· Implement and monitor security policies.
· Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve computer system problems.
· Perform data backup and recovery.
· Perform hardware and software upgrades as required.

OTHER:
· Attends meetings and serves on committees, as requested.
· May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related degree with two years of experience in Systems
Administration, or equivalent education and work experience.
