For all who may be interested, Oracle has released Oracle10g Express
beta. It is free and can be included as part of a commercial product on
win and Linux. The Linux download is a rpm, so it is not open source. It
can use 1 cpu only (can be installed on multiple cpu machines), up to 1
Gig of memory, and up to 4 gig of datafile storage. It includes html db
and is managed from a browser.

It might be worth looking at should you be looking at small relational
databases. If you are happy with mysql or postgres, then probably not.
If you want to learn Oracle db, it is a good choice.

Check out the features! Postgresql is quickly becoming comparable to
commercial database products and is light years in front of mysql as far
as features go. Hopefully I'll be able to find time to load it up
today.
