Sometimes if you angle the fan just right, you can wedge the screws in
there - you might need slightly larger than normal screws. Also try
attaching it from the side - a fan on the side works just as well as one
on the top. I've also used zip ties in a pinch, but this was on a video
card though, so I can't guarantee they wouldn't melt on a CPU heatsink..
