Holding off on FC4

Don't know if anyone has upgraded to FC4 yet but I'm going to wait a
while. I did a test install of FC4 as a workstation and all seemed well.
That was until I tried to compile MySQL. They changed a few libraries
and MySQL wouldn't compile.

The libraries and other changes in FC4 could cause problems on my
production systems. I'm sure there are fixes/workarounds for them but I
don't have the time to figure them out. Things work just fine under FC3.

I'm running into a few problems with both FC3 and FC4. If I do an
automated install with a kikstart file DNS and DHCP don't work. I have
to uninstall and reinstall them. After that they work fine.

I've also had problems with Apache. I tried to change the root directory
and had no luck. Apache wouldn't start if I changed the default web
directory. My fix was to compile Apache from scratch which is what I
normally do.

As soon as I can I'll join the Fedora mailing list and hammer them with
questions.

Oh, I did switch the server I'll be bringing to the Friday meeting to
FC4. I did a kickstart install which then required a few swings of the
hammer to get DNS, DHCP and Apache working. These were not light swings
either. They were good solid smash the %$*@ out of the system type swings.
