FreeBSD network connection

Hi all,
I'm running FreeBSD 4.9 on an older HP Kayak for a firewall setup.
Everything's OK, except for the network. The router I'm connecting to
doesn't serve DHCP, so I'm given an IP, two DNS addresses, a subnet
mask, and the router IP. I thought I had it properly configured, except
for the second DNS address (it only accepts one), but I'm not able to
hit anything, the router, or another node.
When I try pinging anything, I get "Ping response: sendto: Permission
denied" Possible firewall problem?

Thanks,
Kyle
