Uhmm... Suse is a division of Novell , a venerable US of A firm that has
survived the worst of the tech wars :)
But then again serious GNU/Linux users use Debian ;-) which is
incorporated in the US but has more developers outside the US.

I was just looking at a vendor that sells MB + AMD64 cpu for $300, but
you can buy for less.
