I ditched redhat to go to slack because I was sick of RPM hell. I found
that compiling everything from scratch was also a pain, so now I
maintain slackware boxes using my own packages. I compile everything on
a build machine and distribute my own packages to my own boxes. I find
that it works quite well. Someday I may try Aurthor's distro, but I'm
not enough of a purist yet. ;)
