Bynari (http://www.bynari.net) has a product called the Insight
connector which is an outlook plugin which in version 2 syncs your pst
file to an IMAP folder, and in ver 3 (in beta) connects a MAPI service
provider directly to an IMAP folder. This is nice because you are
basically taking proprietary MAPI information and though a plugin
converting it IMAP messages that can be stored on an industry standard
imap server. The cost is $40 but if setup correctly should look just
like exchange.
Keep in mind that you don't need the server product just the connector,
but you will need to setup your own imap server and you pretty much want
cyrus since that is what the server runs and what it is tested against.
