Samba Lockup

I have come across a Samba problem that stops my server dead. I have
been using a Snap Network Appliance for file backup at a client site for
over 1 year with no issues. Windows 9x, 2000, and XP stations can access
the SMB shares without issue. I have recently tried to mount the shares
from a Fedora Core 2 box. Mounting causes no issues. However, when I try
to copy files from the share to the local drive, the Linux computer
locks completely after copying about 200MB. I am unable to find a log
file with any useful information. Below is the /var/log/messages file
right after the crash (copied via an ssh session). I upgraded to Samba
3.0.3-5 from a prior version yesterday, but the problem persists. Has
anyone seen anything like that from Samba? As a side note, the Linux box
is running a software RAID 1 array if that might make any difference.
