Hmmm... Having just read the article, I still feel as if I am trying to
view something through a smoked glass window pane.

Question: does Debian constitute a distribution?

Comment: so far I have found the 2.6.x kernel fairly stable. I have had
problems with USB stuff not working. I haven't really put the 2.6.7
kernel through its paces (I just use the PS2 mouse instead of the USB
mouse). (sigh)
