The problem with mtaonline.net is that they change my IP address a few
times every *hour*. I called tech support to ask why, and he said that they
do it on purpose, something about it being an effective "pseudo-firewall"
against hacker intrusion. (When I asked if it was also a way to create a
market for static IP addresses at an extra $10/month, he said no.)

But anyway, wrt the 24-48 hour thing, it does tend to propagate fast enough
through dyndns.org to be useful from the local site. I just can't figure
out why it works from here but not from remote.
