Re: Aklug membership

I just wanted to say that I respect the fact that people on the list who live in Alaska would have the right to vote on things and participate in or get certain benefits from being an AKLUG member. However, I wanted to request that you don't turn down members who aren't in the state. I live in Georgia now and wish everyday I was back in Alaska but it doesn't look like that will happen too soon. Anyway this list has been great for me. I have learned to use Linux through this list. I get ideas and solutions everyday without even asking questions. So please, please don't kick us non-Alaskans out!

Sounds good to me. Basically all are welcome and the list
represents those interested in contributing ideas to AKLUG.
This provides us with a list for IRS and is certainly as
representative as we can get.

We started our "being an official organization" move by
asking for input from the list. This method lets people from
around the state participate.

If in the future, we wanted to vote on things, maybe limit
votes to Alaskans, we could do that as part of the voting
process. However, I'm in favor of a more open membership.
If you are interested and at least sign up you should be
considered a member.

If you have other ideas, Please Speak Up.
Or say this is a good one. Silence is hard to quantify!
