Sigh... well, unfortunately UAA ITS management and I don't see eye to eye
on the spam issue. Anyone with an "@uaa.alaska.edu" account, I guarantee
is receiving much more spam (and email virii) than I, with an
"@lib.uaa.alaska.edu" address, and I should probably leave it at that.
Keep in mind that while you may be on a dynamic IP when you send mail to
the AKLUG list, you appear to be relaying through a GCI mail
server--mmp-2.gci.net in your most recent messages. Asimov sees the
incoming smtp connections as coming from there, not your dialup IP. I
haven't looked through the mail logs to see how your bounced message was
sent, so I don't really know what happened at this point. I'll check it
out, but I suspect it was some sort of transient problem (your most recent
messages have made it through).
I'll let you know,
Mike
