Actually, you can use the new DNS servers today:

 Primary DNS: vcns-1.gci.net, 209.165.131.12
 Secondary DNS: vcns-2.gci.net, 209.165.131.13

Those are the caching name servers for client access. They
will allow recursive DNS queries.

What you've discovered, Dee, are the authoritative name servers
for GCI.Net, which will resolve within the authoritative space,
but not allow recursive queries.

It's a bit of a different setup than most are used to, but
one that allows for much more scalability and resiliency.

Hope this clears up any confusion.
