Subject: kernel will not boot ..please help

Problem:
The kernel will not boot. Grub starts then the PC reboots immediately.
I have seem to have hit a wall with my latest gentoo install. I have
built Gentoo two times previously on this box with different sources.
This install I use gentoo-sources and I have compiled two times (1)
genkernel (2) manual kernel build. Both build end up the same.
I'm really hoping someone can lend some insight to ease my growing
frustration.
