DynDNS

Does anyone know if the ddclient software used with DynDNS and other
dynamic IP DNS services can provide the correct public IP if the Linux
box running it does not have a public interface? That is, can I run the
service from a box behind the NAT/Firewall and correctly report the
public IP?

I suppose it comes down to whether the DynDNS site is receiving info
based on the interface of the machine running the client or simply on
the return IP address of the packets containing the update.

Thanks.
