No, there is no 2 GB limit, but most programs only used a signed (why signed?)
32 bit integer for keeping track of position in the file, so will core dump
when they hit 2GB. I ran into this problem with Apache recently and a script
that was filling the log file. It would get up to 2GB and Apache would die
saying it couldn't write to the log file. You might have to keep this in
mind.
