And answering my own question: Apparently it's not recommended to hand
already delivered mail (such as mail grabbed from a POP account) to an
MTA. So I guess I'll have fetchmail deliver it through procmail or
directly.
Grumble.
Of course I found that 5 minutes after I posted the above. ;]
