Subject: synaptic and debian

i install synaptic right after i get x running. basically just a gui
interface for apt. i use it with redhat and apt also. i really like
it. the biggest advantage is the ability to take care of dependecies
right from the get go.
if your using apt with any linux distro i would highly recomend
synaptic. i cant live with out it.
