bash highlighting and aliases

Hey all. I decided to switch from KDE to Blackbox, and I'm having a
little problem with my terminal. I no longer have the highlighting
(i.e. directories are blue, links are cyan, etc) and aliases (i.e.
"ll = ls -l") in my terminal. I've tried getting it to work with both
xterm and konsole, with no luck.

If I run 'bash' manually after starting it, it loads that stuff like it
should, but I'm trying to figure out how to get it to do it
automatically, like it does when ran from KDE..

Anyone know what the deal is?

Thanks,
Justin
